Here are some not-so-classic, but somewhat realistic reactions men and women have to the same words or phrases. These definitions came from actual experience. The idea here is to give you a clue as to what the other person is thinking, so that things make more sense. Some people freak out if you ask them if they like you. As you can see, "like" is a very mild word by our standards. Your mileage may vary.

He even asked me if I like him. I went out with him twice didn't I?	I know I really dig her, but she barely let's me kiss her after every date. I stopped seeing two other women. But she still won't go to any movies with me. Plus she won't play ball with me anymore. I wonder if she even likes me?
Exclusive	If he wants me to go out with him any longer, then I need a commitment. Besides, wasn't he dating some other woman too? It's me or nothing.	She called and wants to know why I did not call her the last two nights. I had finals, and went to watch football at a buddies house. I thought it was just too late to call.
Love	It felt so awkward. He kept pulling my hair. It was over in 5 minutes. He finally told me he loved me!	Wow, we should do that more often! I always knew she wanted me!
Break up	I think he is moving way too fast. I am not just a piece of meat.	I knew something was wrong when she wouldn't go to a movie with me!! One misunderstanding, and everything blows up in my face.
